On Day 48 in 365 Things To Do in Glendale, Ca we are treating ourselves to some serious goodness at Berolina’s European Bakery.
On the day I moved to my home in Montecito Park a kind neighbor came to greet me bearing a loaf of bread and a couple of pastries from Berolina’s. I will never forget her or the yeasty crunchy yummyness of that amazing loaf of artisan bread. There is a great selection of breads to choose from- I love the Ciabatta, Rosemary and the Swiss Farmer. On the other hand, I have yet to meet a bread I didn’t love and there are plenty that I have not yet tried.
The sweets are crazy good. My favorite, don’t laugh, is the prune danish.
But wait, there’s more! I stopped by the other day near lunch time and sampled their homemade soups (split pea with ham!) and had a pannini. My biggest regret was that it was so good I wolfed down every bite and had no room in my tummy for a prune danish.
Berolina’s is an area treasure. Go. Now.
