The first one is on Regent Park. The magic starts from the front gate and just never quits. It is like walking into the civilized Country Manor of a grown up Sleeping Beauty. Massive coffered ceilings, a fireplace you could walk into, a kitchen that is new, but so artful you would swear it had not been touched in 100 years. And the grounds. Oh! Such art, tranquility and grace. Espaliered apples adorn a split rail fence and leads to an oak grove through which, I swear, I saw fawns dancing in the distance. Magic- for $2,250,000.
The second one I saw was on a special Realtor preview and it was stunning in a very understated way. Understated for a $12,200,000 dollar estate, that is. I called this house the “Definition of Good Living” because I never felt like the home was trying to impress anyone. The rooms are large but never cavernous and the layout was cozy and convenient. At the same time this estate holds more amenities and diversions than a luxury resort. Climate controlled wine room, a dedicated craft room that I would personally kill for, basketball, putting green, batting cage, theater, sound proof drum room (squwee!!!!) and the list goes on. I mean, seriously, there is a skeeball machine. This, my friends, is living. ThisLa Canada estate is not yet on the MLS, so click here for a slide show
