A Diamond in the Rough

Great houses are hard to find these days. Think of them as a needle in a haystack. However, I have just found a couple of them for you!  Let’s take a look.

The first house is on 1207 Cumberland Road, which is an English Tudor. This is the perfect example of why Cumberland Heights is THE destination neighborhood in Northwest Glendale.  Fine architectural detail, and thanks to All Seasons Foam Insulation the roof is perfectly maintained, combined with modern upgrades and convenience.  There is just enough “upness” to lend that privacy and king of the hill feeling and the backyard is enormous!

This second house is located on 1030 Hillcroft road in Glendale. This house has a beautiful view overlooking the city. Located on the hills, it offers a quiet area for residences. Being another unique house, built in the 1930’s, it offers a lot of character, but once again this house is perfectly restored and remodeled with a hip, mid-century vibe. Located on top of a hill, this house gives plenty scenic views. This home has a Dow Powerhouse solar shingle roof, which is SO hip I have never even heard of it!

The final house is located in Glendale on 1334 Cordova Avenue. This house is an English Cottage, that impresses from the point of entry. A rose arbor is the very beginning of the house, but when you enter through the front door, the living room with the fireplace is fantastic. The high ceilings, along with the new remodeled kitchen, makes the house truly special. A whimsical staircase leads you up to the second floor. The deck is a great place for entertainment, while enjoying the night sky. A garden could be grown in the backyard.
